News and Announcements
Richmond Hill, ON – Today, Rugby Canada Chief Executive Officer Graham Brown issued the following statement:
“On behalf of Rugby Canada and all rugby supporters in Canada I want to extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Rowan Stringer.
Now is the time for all of us to come together and support the Stringer family as they deal with this terrible loss.
We will provide updates on how the Canadian rugby community can support the Stringers."
The club executive would like to invite all club members, players, alumni and their families, to come join us as we kick-off our rugby club’s 50th anniversary at Twin Elm Rugby Park on Saturday May 25th. There will be tons of rugby played by the Irish at the park that day. The Irish men (1st, 2nds and 3rds) and women (1st and 2nds) are each playing games at 130pm and 3pm, against our bitter rivals le Rugby Club de Montréal, Hull Volant and the Montréal Barbarians. After the games the club will host a social gathering in the Founders Lounge at Twin Elm (more details to follow). It will be an occasion to re-connect with your fellow club members and celebrate our club’s rich history over the past 50 year – so come join us!
